Walk-Talk - Archive 4. Practice with Students
We are a group of 12 people and divide into 6 walk and talk pairs.
After the WALK and TALK part, we sat in with our partners for the second part, the meditation. See HERE for the full description of the practice in English and German.
The mapping.
Each pair had an empty “canvas” on the floor and took time to place their cards (up until now unread) In this framed space. The two talked self portraits interweaving with each other. It’s concentrated but sprinkled with surprises and laughter. Reading on paper how someone really listened to you and seeing from a second new perspective the way you perceive and connect with this person.
Perspective 1: Walking next to someone and hearing the portrait from the left or the right in one piece. Both are walking in the same direction and concentrating on either talking or listening to the same portrait.
Perspective 2: Looking down on a map like a birds eye view. Seeing two portraits at the same time, now difficult to separate (only shown in the different handwriting). We see a single portrait made out of two.
The card meaning the most to each person was chosen before we danced a group instant composition.
